Talk about the Cold War

American Corner Bacau organized on April 27, 2007, a new meeting with an American professor and Fulbright lecturer, Dr. Lou Ann Lange. She is a history professor at Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York and came in Bacau to give a talk about the Cold War. The American guest spoke about aspects concerning the political, military and diplomatic relations between the United States and the European countries during the Cold War. This subject, less discussed in East-European countries, stirred the interest of the 32 high school history teachers that were present. After the seminar, the public received informative materials: “Outline of the US History” and “In celebration of 125 years of US – Romanian diplomatic relations”.

American Corner Bacau a organizat in data de 27 aprilie, o noua intalnire cu un profesor bursier Fulbright, Dr. Lou Ann Lange, profesor de istorie la Universitatea Clarkson, Potsdam, New York. Aceasta a venit la Bacau pentru a sustine o prezentare pe tema Razboiului Rece. Oaspetele american a adus in discutie aspecte vizand relatiile politice, militare si diplomatice dintre S.U.A. si statele europene in perioada Razboiului Rece. Tema, mai putin abordata in statele est-europene, a suscitat un viu interes in randul celor 32 de participanti, profesori de istorie din liceele bacauane. La finalul activitatii, acestia au primit materiale informative reprezentative: “Outline of US History” si “125 de ani de relatii diplomatice romano-americane”.
