Parallel Realities – human being trade
The Teacher Training Center "Gr. Tabacaru" Bacau organized, on Friday, 29th September, at the American Corner, the debate "Parallel Realities – human being trade". We had as partners the County Police Inspectorate, the County Bar Association, and the "Betania" Association.

Police inspector Valerica Manole mentioned for the participants the basic notions of what human being trade means, who the victims are and how the victims are included in the human being trade route. The legal matters were analyzed by Mr. Vasile Botomei, lawyer, Dean of the Bacau County Bar Association. Mrs. Ioana Hutanu, psychologist, of the "Betania" Association spoke about the stages the victims go through during the trafficking process. She also spoke about the control practices used by traffickers on the victims, about the psychological and social consequences, and also about the social services and psychological counseling gives to victims by the "Betania" Association. As an example, the public saw a short video material, named "STOP human being trade", including some interviews.

On the second part of the meeting, Nicoleta Iftimiu (teacher at the "I. Ghica" Economic College) and Doina Nita (teacher at the "GH. Vranceanu" National College) presented some of the activities organized in cooperation with students from those two colleges during the Anti-Trafficking educational project.

The people were very active during the seminar, asking questions and expressing their opinions.

The seminar finished with a documentary movie, "Sex Slaves", offered by the U.S. Embassy to the American Corner Bacau.

The participants were offered information and materials on human trafficking.

Realitati paralele – traficul de fiinte umane
Casa Corpului Didactic "Gr. Tabacaru" Bacau a organizat vineri, 29 septembrie, la "American Corner", dezbaterea "Realitati paralele – traficul de fiinte umane". Acestei initiative s-au alaturat Inspectoratul de Politie al Judetului Bacau, Baroul Bacau, Asociatia "Betania".

Dna comisar Valerica Manole a explicat publicului ce înseamna traficul de persoane, cine sunt victimele si cum se ajunge în traseul traficului de fiinte umane. Implicatiile juridice ale problemei aflate în discutie au fost expuse de dl avocat dr. Vasile Botomei, decanul Baroului Bacau. Dna psiholog Ioana Hutanu de la Asociatia „Betania” a prezentat etapele prin care trece victima în procesul traficului, aspectele legate de controlul exercitat de traficant asupra victimei si urmarile psihologice si sociale ale traficului asupra victimelor. De asemenea, a explicat tipurile de servicii sociale, terapeutice si de consiliere psihologica oferite victimelor de catre Asociatia pe care o reprezinta. Ca exemplificare a discutiilor anterioare, publicul a vizionat un scurt material video intitulat "STOP traficului de fiinte umane", cuprinzând interviuri cu persoane care au trecut prin astfel de experiente traumatizante.

În partea a doua a întâlnirii, doamnele profesoare Nicoleta Iftimiu (Colegiul Economic "I. Ghica") si Doina Nita (Colegiul National "Gh. Vrânceanu") au prezentat publicului activitatile desfasurate împreuna cu elevi ai celor doua Colegii în cadrul proiectului educational "AntiTrafic".

Pe parcursul întâlnirii, publicul a participat activ, adresând întrebari invitatilor si exprimându-si opinii.

În încheiere, a fost vizionat filmul documentar "Sex Slaves", oferit de catre Ambasada SUA centrului American Corner Bacau. Participantii au primit mape cu materiale informative referitoare la traficul de fiinte umane.
