American Literature Club at American Corner Craiova, August 2006

On August 26, 2006, the first meeting of the American Literature Club of the American Corner Craiova took place. On this occasion the works of Bret Harte (1836-1902) and Theodore Dreiser (a871-1945) were brought into discussion.

The conversation was held in English, and an American guest, Susan McBreairty, Peace Corps volunteer was present.

The second meeting was set for September 24, 2006, when 110 years are being celebrated since the birth of Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940). A book exhibit with his works will be organized.
