Reading Club: "How Do We Know It's Fall?"

On November 9, 2006, American Corner Iasi organized a Reading Club with the theme "How Do We Know It’s Fall?".

The participants were 20 third grade pupils of from the "Funny English" School in Iasi, accompanied by their primary school teacher and their English teacher. The children each read a paragraph from the book „How Do We Know It’s Fall?”, without knowing what they were reading from in order to discover in the end what the story was about. To prove that they paid good attention the children were asked to answer some questions inspired from the book. At the end they mirrored in drawings the way they see the fall and they sang the „November” song. As gratitude for a pleasant hour the children donated their drawings to the American Corner.

For their effort, the pupils were rewarded with diplomas and small flags of the United States.
