AMBASSADOR

Biography


Ambassador Nicholas F. Taubman left post on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. He served in Romania from December 5, 2005 until December 3, 2008.

Until a new Ambassador is appointed to Romania, the Ambassador's duties are assumed by the Chargé d’Affaires, Jeri Guthrie-Corn. She arrived at post on August 2008 as Deputy Chief of Mission, a position which exists only when an appointed Ambassador is present in country.

Mrs. Guthrie-Corn holds a deep appreciation for Romanian language and culture, as she previously served in the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest between 1989 and 1991.
