On March 24, the renowned American film director Francis Ford Coppola spoke to a group of American Studies students from the University of Bucharest.
Mr. Coppola discussed filmmaking from the perspective of his life and career and his experiences in Romania. The director described how he came to
produce "Youth Without Youth", a movie being filmed and produced in Romania. The film is based on a short story by Mircea Eliade, the noted Romanian
historian of religion who taught at the University of Chicago for more than twenty years. Mr. Coppola encouraged students to try to remain young at
