The American Cultural Center in Bucharest is pleased to announce a series of performances by spoken-word and music ensemble Universes. The American group will share their work with audiences in Ploiest, Bucharest, and Constanta this February. Universes is presently on an international tour, having performed to great acclaim in Morroco, Tunisia, Turkey and the UK. We welcome them to Romania.

About the performance: Universes is an ensemble that fuses poetry, theater, jazz, hip-hop, blues, and Spanish boleros to form a unique and entertaining theatrical work. Formed in New York by artists well founded in the city's vibrant spoken-word scene, Universes has come to represent a new form of theater. Each performance captures the essence of the city while enrapturing its audience with the infectious rythms of urban music and poetry.

Centrul Cultural American din Bucuresti are placerea de a va invita la o serie de concerte sustinute de ansamblul Universes din Statele Unite. In luna februarie, trupa va sustine concerte in Ploiesti, Bucuresti si Constanta. In prezent, Universes intreprinde un turneu international, sustinand deja spectacole in Maroc, Tunisia, Turcia si Marea Britanie, iar acum vor fi prezenti si in Romania.

Universes este un ansamblu care imbina elemente de poezie, teatru, jazz, hip-hop, blues si bolero spaniol, creand astfel un spectacol teatral unic si antrenant. Infiintat in New York, la initiativa unor artisti bine inradacinati in lumea muzicala dinamica a orasului, Universes reprezinta o noua forma de teatru. Fiecare concert capteaza esenta orasului, captivand publicul prin ritmurile contagioase ale muzicii si poeziei urbane.
