Mission Closure on Friday, May 2^nd
The Embassy will be closed Friday, May 2, due to the closure of Public Institutions by the Government of Romania, following the May 1 Labor Day Holiday. American Citizens requiring emergency services between May 1 - 4 can call +(40) (21) 200-3433 for assistance.

Change to public hours for American Citizens Service (ACS)
To more efficiently serve American Citizens during the busy summer season, beginning April 29, 2008 the American Citizens’ Services unit will have public hours as follows:

Notarial services:
Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00-10:00
Wednesdays 2:00-3:00

General services except notarials:
Monday through Friday 9:00-12:00
Mondays 1:30– 3:30

For security reasons, the following may not be brought to the Consulate:

• large bags such as backpacks and luggage
• laptop computers, electronic devices, cameras or video or audio equipment
