NON-IMMIGRANT VISA APPOINTMENT PROCESS AND WAITING TIMES

Average Appointment Wait Time - visitor (B1/B2) visa - Click here
Average Appointment Wait Time - student (F, M) or exchange visitor (J) visa - Click here
Average Appointment Wait Time - all other nonimmigrant visas - Click here

These times are averages and will vary during the course of the year, depending on the volume of applications.

With rare exceptions, the decision whether to issue the visa will be made at the time of the visa interview, and issued visas will be placed in the applicant's passport and returned to the applicant in the afternoon of the same day.
