Important Information
Violating the terms of your visa by overstaying or working illegally in the United States can prevent you from obtaining another non-immigrant or immigrant visa in the future.

All Romanians who want to visit the United States temporarily must apply for a non-immigrant visa. Temporary visitors include tourists, students, workers, trainees/interns, or business travelers.

All applicants must pay a visa application fee (as of January 1, 2008, this fee is $131 U.S. dollars). Most visa applicants must come to the Embassy for an interview. To learn how to pay the fee and make an appointment for an interview, visit the Appointments & Fees page. To see who may qualify to use the drop-box service and bypass the personal interview, visit the Drop-box page.

Every applicant must fill out an application form online. For a list of the standard forms required, visit the Forms & Documents page. Depending on the type of visa, applicants may be required to bring additional documents to the visa interview. For a list of required documents, select the type of visa for which you are applying from the list to the left.

To determine which type of visa you need, visit the Types of Visitor Visas page.
