STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS ON THE ACCIDENT THAT TOOK THE LIFE OF TEO PETER

(Saturday, Dec. 4) The Embassy deeply regrets the death of Teo Peter in an accident with an embassy vehicle this morning. The embassy official was one of our marine security guards. He was escorted out of country by an embassy security officer and is currently at a US military facility.

The US Marine Corps is cooperating with the local police to fully investigate the accident. The information provided by police will be used to determine, what, if any charges are brought against the individual.
