| WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCEMENT |
The White House on October 5 issued the following announcement:
The President intends to nominate Nicholas F. Taubman, of Virginia, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Romania. Mr. Taubman is President of Mozart Investments. He previously served as Chairman of Advanced Auto Parts. Mr. Taubman held a number of other positions, including Chief Executive Officer and President, throughout his over 45 years with the company. Mr. Taubman received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Presedintele Gerge W. Bush intentioneaza sa-l nominalizeze pe Nicholas F. Taubman, din Virginia, in calitate de Ambasador Extraordinar si Plenipotentiar al SUA in Romania. Dl. Taubman este presedinte al Mozart Investments. Anterior a fost presedinte al Advanced Auto Parts. Dl. Taubman a detinut si alte functii, inclusiv cele de Director General Executiv si Presedinte al Advanced Auto Parts, de-a lungul celor 45 de ani petrecuti in cadrul companiei. Dl. Taubman este licentiat al University of Pennsylvania.
