U.S. EMBASSY STATEMENT ON THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE ACCIDENT THAT TOOK THE LIFE OF TEO PETER
In interviews on Sunday, U.S. Ambassador, Jack Dyer Crouch II, promised to keep the Romanian people informed about our efforts to ascertain the facts of the tragic auto accident on Saturday that took the life of Teo Peter.
We have remained in close contact with Romanian authorities concerning the investigation into the accident. A team from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service will arrive in Bucharest on Tuesday to join Romanian authorities in the investigation. The results of this coordinated investigation will be used to determine the appropriate course of action.
In addition, Ambassador Crouch was able to speak to Mr. Peter's son earlier today and express his and the American Government's condolences for their loss.
