Ambassador Taubman Announces Flood Assistance
August 4, 2008 Ambassador Nicholas F. Taubman today expressed his condolences to the victims of the floods and their families and announced that the Government of the United States will provide over 100,000 RON (US$50,000) in immediate flood relief assistance. (English) and (Românã)

August 1, 2008 In a ceremony at Toma Caragiu Theater (Ploiesti), U.S. Ambassador Nicholas Taubman swore in 39 new Peace Corps Volunteers who will serve in Romania for the next two years. Kids Day event gives Romanian children a look at JTF-East
June 20, 2008 MK Airfield Administration Center, Romania – Joint Task Force East troops learned yesterday that helicopters, fire trucks and games are the way to a child’s heart. A day long event saw about 60 Romanian children from local schools tour Mihail Kogalniceanu Airfield Administration Center to learn what Romanian and American troops do here. (English) and (Românã)

June 4, 2008 Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice publicly released the annual Department of State "Trafficking in Persons" report on June 4, 2008.
